Hell Bent for Leather (1960)
Michael and Pax finally visit the podcast's namesake (more or less): George Sherman's Hell Bent for Leather starring Audie Murphy, Felicia Farr, and Stephen McNally.
A great western with Audie Murphy to check out is No Name on the Bullet (1959). Directed by Jack Arnold (Creature from the Black Lagoon) Audie Murphy stars as John Gant an infamous gunfighter who comes to town. Everyone is terrified because Gant will not tell he is after or who has sent him. Murphy is quite frightening in this movie playing it very understated very calm and quiet which lends a real menace to him. In many ways the movie is like a western Seventh Seal with Murphy almost like an angel or messenger of death and yes he also does play chess in the movie.
