Outland from 1981, starring Sean Connery in a sci-fi take on the
High Noon concept. Next, Pax chooses a 1980 TV movie sequel called
High Noon II: The Return of Will Kane starring Lee Majors, David Carradine, and Pernell Roberts. Which was better? The answer may surprise you!
I first saw Outland years ago because it was a sci-fi film and loved it. I've since seen it a few more times over the years and I still enjoy the film although it is a little slow to get into the action.
ReplyDeleteI watched High Noon Part II with Lee Majors and I enjoyed it. I own this on DVD in a two-disc collection with the TV-Movie, The Alamo: 13 Days to Glory. We watched this TV-Movie in high school and it had a great cast: James Arness, Brian Keith, and Alec Baldwin. I am a fan of Lee Majors from The Six Million Dollar Man, Tour of Duty, and particularly The Fall Guy. I recently watched Starflight: The Plane That Couldn't Land, a TV-Movie from 1983 with Lee Majors and it was slow with some really bad effects. I've never seen a full episode of The Big Valley with Majors, but I may seek out a few.
