House II: The Second Story. Though it does have undead cowboys. The movie is the sequel to 1985's
House and stars Arye Gross, Jonathan Stark, Royal Dano, John Ratzenberger, Bill Maher, and Lar Park-Lincoln.
I'm not a big horror fan, but I do enjoy creature features and those with humor in them. So, I enjoyed the first House, but really loved the second House. House II was just more fun for me, and as a watcher of Cheers, I recognized the connections with George Wendt in House and John Ratzenberger in House II. As a western fan, I enjoyed the western elements in this movie, particularly Royal Dano as Gramps.
ReplyDeleteThis is not a great movie, but it is a fun, enjoyable 80s movie. I remember seeing this pop up often on Saturday afternoons in their movie of the week blocks.
I am a fan of all of these kinds of movies in the 80s like "My Science Project", "The Philadelphia Experiment", "The Manhattan Project", "The Explorers", just to name a few. I often blend scenes of these together in my memory to the point that I forget which scene was in which movie. I came of age exactly at the right time for these movies.
