  1. I happened to DVR this because of James Garner and did not know what to expect from this film. I liked the film but didn't love the film.
I watched this movie awhile back, but don't remember a lot about it anymore. I did enjoy the song very much. It reminded me of the song in John Wayne's The War Wagon a bit.
I knew some of the cast in this movie. I know Dennis Weaver from the TV Show, McCLoud and the great film Duel (1971) directed by Steven Spielberg before he made Jaws. You can see some elements that was used later in Jaws in this film. This is a great movie full of suspense about a driver being stalked by a tractor-trailer on desolate dusty roads. This has always creeped me out on long drives.
I know Claude Akins mostly from the John Wayne film Rio Bravo and a few other roles here and there that I can't name right now.
I'm a big fan of Duel at Diablo, caught this on tv years ago and have seen it a few times over the years and bought it on Blu-Ray once it was available. It's a great film with a great cast!
